A bucket elevator is a continuous conveying machine that lifts materials vertically using a series of hoppers uniformly attached to an endless traction structure. Bucket elevators use a series of hoppers attached to a traction chain or belt to transport bulk materials vertically or nearly vertically. Bucket elevators are available in three types: chain, plate chain, and belt. Bucket elevators are suitable for lifting materials from low to high locations. Material is fed into the hopper via a vibrating table, and the machine automatically and continuously transports the material upward. The conveying speed can be adjusted according to the conveying volume, and the lifting height can be selected as needed. The hoppers are designed and manufactured in-house. The non-toxic PP hoppers enhance the versatility of this type of bucket elevator. All sizes are designed and manufactured to meet specific needs. Designed for use with vertical packaging machines and computerized metering machines, they are suitable for lifting and loading products such as food, pharmaceuticals, chemical products, screws, and nuts. The machine can be controlled to automatically start and stop based on signals from the packaging machine.
The hopper scoops material from the storage below and is lifted to the top by a conveyor belt or chain. After passing over the top wheel, it tilts downward, and the bucket elevator dumps the material into a receiving trough. The drive belt of a belt-driven bucket elevator is typically a rubber belt, mounted on the lower or upper drive roller and the upper and lower redirecting rollers. A chain-driven bucket elevator typically features two parallel drive chains, a pair of drive sprockets on the upper or lower side, and a pair of redirecting sprockets on the lower or upper side. Bucket elevators are typically enclosed in a casing to prevent dust from being raised.
