Bucket Elevator Operation

1. The bucket elevator must be securely installed on a solid concrete foundation. The concrete foundation surface should be flat and level to ensure the bucket elevator maintains vertical alignment after installation.
For taller bucket elevators, the middle and upper casings should be properly connected to adjacent structures (such as silos, workshops, etc.) to increase stability. During installation, first install the lower components and secure the anchor bolts, then install the middle casing, followed by the upper casing. After the casing is successfully installed, calibrate the verticality. Measure the entire height with a plumb line; the error should be less than 10mm. The upper and lower axes should be parallel, and their centerlines should be in the same plane.
For shorter bucket elevators, connect the upper, middle, and lower casings at ground level and align them, then hoist the entire structure upright and secure it to the concrete foundation.
2. After the casing is installed, install the chain and hopper. The U-shaped screws used to connect the hopper serve as both chain connectors and hopper fasteners. The nuts of the U-shaped screws must be tightened and securely secured.
3. After installing the chain and hopper, tension them appropriately.
4. Add appropriate amounts of engine oil and grease to the reducer and bearing seat, respectively. Lubricate the reducer with industrial gear oil. Either calcium-based or sodium-based grease can be used in the bearing seat.
5. Test run: After installation is complete, perform an empty vehicle test run. During the empty run, be sure not to reverse the machine or allow any bumps or collisions. The empty run should last for at least two hours and should not overheat. The bearing temperature rise should not exceed 250°C, and the reducer temperature rise should not exceed 300°C. After two hours of empty run, if everything is normal, proceed to a load test run. During the loaded test run, feed the material evenly to prevent overfeeding, which could block the lower section and cause a "stuck" machine.
