How To Change A Saw Blade On A Saw Cutter?

1. Preparation before changing

First, make sure the saw cutter is turned off and completely disconnected from the power source to avoid the risk of electric shock during the replacement process. Next, wipe the saw cutter surface with a clean cloth to remove dust and metal debris. Finally, place the saw cutter securely on a flat workbench for subsequent work.

2. Removing the Old Saw Blade

Now, we'll begin removing the old saw blade. First, locate the saw blade plug and gently remove it. Next, use a wrench to carefully loosen the retaining screw, being careful to use moderate force to avoid damaging the screw or the saw blade. Finally, remove the old saw blade from the saw cutter.

After removing the saw blade, be sure to inspect the teeth and side surfaces. If the teeth are severely worn or the pitch is inconsistent, it means you need a new saw blade. Otherwise, continuing to use a worn saw blade will impair cutting performance and may even pose a safety risk.

3. Installing the New Saw Blade

Next, follow the steps to install the new saw blade. First, ensure the new saw blade's tooth pitch and direction match the old one. Here's a tip: the saw blade's tooth pitch should be oriented in the opposite direction of the saw blade's rotation to ensure optimal cutting performance.

Then, gently place the new saw blade on the saw blade and secure it securely with the screws. When tightening the screws, use moderate force to prevent the blade from loosening while also avoiding overtightening and warping.

4. Testing the New Saw Blade

After installing the new saw blade, don't rush into operation. First, replug the power cord, turn on the saw blade, and allow it to run freely for a while. It's recommended to run it idle for 10-15 minutes. During this time, closely observe the new saw blade for any unusual noises or vibrations. If any problems are detected, stop the saw blade and troubleshoot immediately.
