1. Before starting, inspect all mechanical and electrical components, including all connecting bolts for looseness, ensuring proper lubrication of all lubrication points, reliable transmission, intact protective devices, sensitive electrical instruments, and good contact of the motor carbon brushes.
2. Turn the machine one full turn to check for obstructions in or around the rotating parts of the machine, and remove them. No one is allowed to stand nearby during starting.
3. After checking everything is correct, press the start button to start the motor, paying attention to current fluctuations. The ball mill should not be started more than twice in a row. Wait at least 5 minutes between the first and second starts. If starting a third time, consult with an electrician and fitter before starting. Do not start the mill simultaneously with other equipment; stagger starts to avoid tripping.
4. Once the ball mill is operating normally, strictly follow the water supply, ore feeding, and steel ball addition regulations. Overload operation is prohibited, and idling time should not exceed 15 minutes to avoid damaging the liner.
5. During operation, carefully inspect the cylinder for leaks. Carefully monitor current, voltage, feed, and water supply. Check the motor and spindle temperatures every half hour to ensure they are no higher than 60°C. Address any problems promptly.
6. During operation, carefully inspect the hollow shaft and oil ring for oil and ensure the hollow shaft temperature is normal. If the hollow shaft becomes overheated and nears burnout, immediately implement forced cooling measures and do not stop the machine immediately to avoid shaft seizure. Also, carefully check the oil level and temperature in all lubrication areas and refill oil regularly.
7. Before stopping the ball mill, stop feeding ore. After the concentrate in the mill has been processed, stop the water supply. Press the stop button and turn off the power.
