A ball mill consists of a feeder, discharger, rotary unit, and transmission unit (reducer, small transmission gear, motor, and electronic control). The hollow shaft is made of cast steel with a removable inner lining. The large rotating gear is hobbed from a casting, and the barrel is lined with a wear-resistant liner, providing excellent wear resistance. This machine operates smoothly and reliably.
The main unit of the ball mill consists of a barrel, lined with a wear-resistant material lining, bearings that support the barrel and maintain its rotation, and drive components such as the motor, transmission gears, pulleys, and V-belts.
Parts called blades are generally not essential components. Parts with internal spirals inside the feed inlet of the feed end are called internal spiral blades, and parts with internal spirals inside the discharge end are also called internal spiral blades.
Also, if a screw conveyor is used as an auxiliary device at the discharge end, this equipment will also contain parts called spiral blades, but strictly speaking, they are no longer considered parts of the ball mill. Depending on the material and discharge method, you can choose between dry-type and wet-type grate ball mills.
