1. Check the bearing heat. The bearing alloy used to cast the bearing shell requires operation below 100°C. If the temperature exceeds this, stop the machine immediately and inspect to correct the problem. To check, if there is a thermometer on the bearing, observe the reading directly. If not, use your hand: place the back of your hand on the shell until it becomes too hot to hold. This should take no more than 5 seconds, and the temperature should be above 60°C.
2. Check the lubrication system for proper operation. Listen for any clacking noises from the gear pump, check the oil pressure gauge, and check the oil level in the tank and lubrication system for leaks. If insufficient, refill immediately.
3. Check the oil returning from the oil return pipe for metal particles and other contaminants. If found, immediately stop the machine and open the bearings and other lubrication points for inspection.
4. Check bolts, flywheel keys, and other fasteners for looseness.
5. Check the jaw plate and transmission components for wear, the pull rod spring for cracks, and ensure proper operation.
6. Maintain a clean, dust-free, oil-free, leak-free, water-free, electrical-free, and dust-free machine. In particular, ensure that dust and other debris do not enter the lubrication system and lubricated parts. This damages the lubricating oil film, causing loss of lubrication and increased wear. Furthermore, dust and other debris are abrasives themselves, accelerating wear and shortening the machine's lifespan.
7. Clean the lubricating oil filter regularly with gasoline. After cleaning, allow the filter to dry completely before continuing operation.
8. Change the lubricating oil in the tank regularly, ideally every six months. This is because the lubricating oil is exposed to air (oxygen) and heat (the oxidation rate doubles when the temperature increases by 10°C), and the infiltration of dust, moisture or fuel and other reasons during use, causing it to age and deteriorate, causing the oil to lose its lubricity.
